The USPHL Tampa Showcase, the biggest events of the entire regular season for the USPHL Premier and Elite conferences, will be run in partnership with a four-team college hockey event featuring NCAA Division III teams for the first time. Details to come. All of the NCAA and USPHL games will take place under one roof at the four-sheet AdventHealth Center Ice facility in Wesley Chapel, Fla.
The four teams (which will be announced shortly) will play two games Friday and two games Saturday. The winners of those games will play a game as well on Saturday, as will the losing teams from the Friday games. This will all happen amid a USPHL Showcase Series event featuring no less than 30 USPHL teams available for NCAA, ACHA and AAU scouts to see hitting the ice and delivering outstanding performances.
Along with all six member organizations of the Premier and Elite Florida Divisions fielding 12 total teams, there will also be six total Premier and Elite teams from the Southeast Divisions. The Jersey Hitmen, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights and Fort Wayne Spacemen organizations will each bring their Premier and Elite teams to the showcase. Also bringing their USPHL Premier squads are the Metro Jets, MJDP, Toledo Cherokee, Nashville Spartans, Minnesota Squatch and Dells Ducks.
