Defense: Peyton Andrews, Isanti Outlaws
Andrews (‘04/Cambridge, Minn.) also enjoyed a big weekend offensively and did a strong job in his own end as well at the Detroit Showcase, helping limit the four opposition team chances while putting up three goals and 11 points of his own. Andrews has also appeared in all 20 Outlaws’ games this season. The three weekend goals doubled his output, and he has 28 points at the break.
Goaltender: Lucas Brine, Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings
Brine (‘02/Oxshott, Great Britain) kicked out all 21 shots he faced at Ridder Arena Friday night, leading the Riverkings to a 3-0 win and a sweep in its weekend set against the host Minnesota Mullets. The shutout was the first of the season for Brine, but he has been the go-to goalie for the team, collecting seven wins in 11 starts with a 2.26 Goals Against Average and a save percentage of .947.
