Drake Perham, Atlanta MadHatters
Perham (‘05/Hollywood, Md.) scored four goals and added nine assists for 13 points (2.6 points per game) during the five regular season games he played for the MadHatters last month. Along with his 37 points in 34 regular season games, Perham was a huge presence for the Southeast/Florida All-Stars in the Jan. 27-28 All-Star event in Massachusetts, earning a 2-2-4 line for the two games at the event, both won by the SE/FLA squad.
Sebastian Kaminsky, Atlanta MadHatters
Kaminsky (‘06/Atlanta, Ga.) was another MadHatter who was absolutely on the top of his game last month, putting up six goals and eight assists for 14 points in six games. He is averaging 2.33 points per game. He kicked off January with a 3-4-7 performance in the USPHL Tampa Showcase against the Dells Ducks. He currently has 45 points in 36 games.
Onni Puikkonen, Tampa Bay Juniors
Puikkonen (‘05/Tampere, Finland) closed up January with a 6-8-14 line, an average of 1.56 per game over nine contests. Since joining the Juniors with Tier II experience from the NCDC, Puikkonen has 29 points in 18 games.

Defense
Thibaut Sapelkine, Atlanta MadHatters
Another USPHL All-Stars selection, Sapelkine (‘04/Paris, France) averaged a 1.17 points per game average in January, after putting up a goal and six assists in six January games. Up in Foxboro, Mass., Sapelkine scored the GWG in a battle of two 1-0 All-Star teams against the New England/Atlantic squad. He finished the event with that goal and an assist.
Jonas Oesterle, Florida Jr. Blades
The Framingham State University NCAA recruit Oesterle (‘04/East Syracuse, N.Y.) was another standout at the All-Star event, registering an assist during the event. During January, Oesterle put up a 1-6-7 line, matching Sapelkine’s for the month. He has bested his 2023-24 points total more than ninefold with 28 points in 31 games.

Goaltender: Nate Galbraith, Tampa Bay Juniors
Galbraith (‘06/Brockville, Ont.) made 102 saves on 108 shots during the past month, including three straight 34-save performances against the Metro Jets, Florida Eels and Bold City Battalion during January. Galbraith is now 9-4-0-0 with a .925 save percentage and a 2.40 GAA.

Selection Process: The division’s coaches are presented with a ballot form with statistical leaders (ranked by points per game average for skaters and save percentage for goaltenders) and vote on that form. The league takes the results of that vote and presents the coaches with the finalists, who are able to vote on further changes if desired.
